Welcome to the PDA-Advance Guide. We have just relaunched the site and is still working on the new design that will be online this spring. Until then please have patience.
When you are from North America and coming in to visit ASIA, a PDA is a must. Besides bringing in your papers, especially your passport and visa, which should be attached to your skins all the time, some papers can be much needed. You will never know.
Going solo is not advisable for first timers, but if you are a researcher or had to attend conferences. Making Hotel reservations, booking for a plane ticket, and contacting your travelling agency, is such a hassle especially when you are far away from the city, and you happen to have the conference in a beautiful place, but out of nowhere. It happened to me. Fortunately, Asia is has adapted technology that even if you are far away my PDA works.
PDA not only allows you to have those notes kept, but because of its internet facilities, which will allow you to use the net, you can easily pay your travel ticket bookings via the PDA and pay your travel fare via the gadget My PDA has a RJ-45 adaptor which allows me to use an extension card and attach to it an Ethernet port.
It saves on a lot of time, and hassle not to mention the stress levels careening all over you, when you know you have to go to another country to present your research. PDA can really save the day.
In case you find yourself really caught in the middle of nowhere, while doing your research, an Apple Iphone which will allow you to call the hotel and companions to inform them about your whereabouts.
Despite all the mishaps and hassles of travelling around the world, PDA had made its mark, and its going to be a great global world despite all odds.
